Southeast Short-term Assessment, Intervention and Life Skills (SE-SAILS)

Formerly known as Granite/Tilden House

The BSCS SE SAILS program is funded by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) for youth receiving DMH services (ages 12-20). All referrals come from DMH.

This Therapeutic Group Care Service is an out of home service for youth who are experiencing behavioral health symptoms that require therapeutic interventions which are provided in a 24-hour staffed therapeutic setting. This program is designed to provide short term, planned respite to youth and families so that they can receive clinical supports that directly address the behavioral health issues that are impacting the family.

In close collaboration with DMH, the BSCS multi-disciplinary team (consisting of psychiatry, occupational therapy, clinical, and direct care staff) will:

  • Complete individualized assessment and treatment with the goal of having youth live at home with their families in their communities
  • Work with the family to develop and support a plan for the youth to return home
  • Provide Family supports and engagement to ensure family involvement
