Outpatient Recovery Coaching
Outpatient Recovery Coaching is provided by trained Recovery Coaches using her/his/their lived experience.
Our recovery coaches are certified and trained by the Recovery Coach Academy.
They are uniquely qualified to offer non-clinical peer services.
Our recovery coaches follow all pathways of recovery as they support 18+ year-old individuals with exploring their own recovery, achieving life goals, and growing hope.
The mission of our recovery coaches is to help individuals on their journey of recovery and to achieve a more satisfying life in the 8 dimensions of wellness.
The role of our recovery coaches:
- Guide and connect a person to the local recovery community.
- Provide emotional and social support.
- Assist in setting goals and help develop practical action/wellness plans.
- Support in developing and maintaining effective coping skills and a healthy lifestyle.
- Facilitate access to services and resources.
- Serve as a liaison to other service providers.
- Provide appropriate, recovery-oriented education.
- Listen actively, validate a person’s experience, and offer honest feedback.
- Identify and help assist a person to overcome barriers in their recovery.
- Provide hope and resources to family and friends.
The recovery coaches are:
- Practical.
- Always helpful.
- Authentic.
- A motivator.
- Dedicated and compassionate.
- An advocate.
- Safe and trustworthy.
- Open to all paths to recovery.
- Meet individuals where they are – emotionally and physically.
