Bay State Community Services specializes in families, in all ways that families are defined.
We understand that when a family member needs help, everyone in the family is affected. We have designed our family services to be flexible and responsive to your specific family’s needs.
Our staff are trained in evidence-based treatment that is strength based and focuses on the needs that you have identified for your family.
Home & Community Based Services
In-Home Therapy (IHT)
Our staff provide intensive in-home support to help children and their families improve behavior and relationships at home and in the community.
Therapeutic Mentoring (TM)
Therapeutic Mentoring pairs children with a mentor to build social, communication, and skills to help them succeed in various life situations.
Community Service Agency
Our Care Coordinators work directly with families to create individualized care plans for children/youth with emotional and behavioral needs, while Family Partners offer emotional support to caregivers using their lived experience.
Community Support Program
BSCS’ Community Support Program offers community supports to individuals experiencing behavioral health symptoms and or substance use disorders.
FIRST Steps Together
Our Family Recovery Support Specialists provide recovery supports and parenting skills to parents of children under age 5 or expecting parents in a supportive non-judgmental community of recovery.
Parents as Teachers
Bay State Community Services’ PAT offers a free home visiting program for pregnant women, foster/kinship parents, grandparents, and those caring for children under 6, providing parent education, group connections, and access to resources.
Create, Respect, Empower, Wellness
The CREW clinical team offers several individualized approaches through a year-round, therapeutic, after school day program for children and adolescents ages 6 through 18.
Young Parent Program
Our staff provide non-judgmental and practical support with your educational, vocational, career, family, and parenting needs.
Massachusetts Youth Diversion Program
Our staff are committed to addressing the needs of youth who come to the attention of the legal system and in increasing public safety.
Department of Children & Families (DCF) Support & Stabilization Services
Lead Agency
Our Family Networks Team collaborates with DCF to provide service coordination to support the safety, well-being, and permanency of children, adolescents, and their families.
Child Specific Case Work
Our Child Specific Case Worker (CSCW) services are designed to stabilize children and adolescents aged 12-18 so they can be successful in their community.
Parent Aide Services
Our Parent Aides work with families supported by the Department of Children & Families (DCF) to provide practical, hands-on, intensive, and goal-oriented supports so that families can live and grow together.
Intensive Family Intervention
Intensive Family Intervention services focus on promoting child and family safety, stabilization and permanency by strengthening a family’s resources and support network.
Support and Stabilization
Bay State Community Services is committed to the well-being of children and families, and partners with DCF to provide 13 services to families supported by DCF.
To request services or make a referral to one of the above programs, please contact your Department of Children and Families (DCF) social worker, or Family Networks at your local DCF office.
Department of Mental Health (DMH) Home-Based Services
Intensive Home Based Therapeutic Care
The BSCS Intensive Home Based Therapeutic Care (IHBTC) program provides services to youth experiencing serious behavioral or mental health challenges.
Flexible Support Services
The clinicians in our Flexible Support Services program assist families and youth in developing the skills and supports that strengthen family bonds and improve behaviors and relationships in the community.
Mentor Adolescent Action Team
Our Mentor Adolescent Team (MAAT) Group is a social skills group for youths, led by two facilitators, that focuses on wellness, life skills, relationships, and problem-solving using Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT).
Family Resource Centers & Child Abuse Prevention Site
Plymouth Family Resource Center
The Plymouth Family Resource Center is a free service for families in Plymouth County with kids under 18. It helps connect families to services, support, and resources through a team of caring staff.
Dorchester-Mattapan Family Resource Center
The Dorchester-Mattapan Family Resource Center is a free service for families in Suffolk County with kids under 18. It helps connect families to services, support, and resources through a team of caring staff.
Quincy Family Resource Center
The Quincy Family Resource Center is a free service for families in Norfolk County with kids under 18. It helps connect families to services, support, and resources through a team of caring staff.
Dianne DeVanna Center
The Dianne DeVanna Center provides supportive, understanding help to parents, caretakers, and guardians facing parenting challenges, helping families grow and stay strong together.
