Massachusetts’ Young People in Recovery (MyPiR) is a statewide group of young people who are passionate about helping others by sharing our recovery journey!
We are a statewide group of young people who have come together to support one another in understanding how we use substances. There is no judgment, only acceptance and understanding.
We are passionate about helping other young people and share in all paths of recovery. We offer support, connection, and hope for the future.
Funded through the Department of Public Health-Bureau of Addiction Services (DPH-BSAS), the MyPiR program is in 8 areas throughout the state including:
- Boston
- Cape and Islands
- Central
- Metrowest
- Northeast
- Southeast
- Western
What to Expect
- Access to Young Adult Peer Recovery Support Specialist. We use our personal experience to come together, have fun, and connect.
- No judgements, only safe, accepting and supportive peers who can answer your questions.
- Free activities, events, groups, and gatherings that are planned by you that prioritize how you want to spend your time. Such as Statewide Disc golf tournaments, Escape Rooms, Hikes, Games, Cornhole and so much more.
- We know the available resources for school, work, and treatment.
Who We Serve
MyPiR is free and open to any young person looking to better understand your substance use and want to be around others who are exploring recovery options.
