The Kate McCabe Fund

The Kate McCabe Fund provides support to programs that help empower youth to make positive life choices. Particular attention is given to young people affected by substance abuse issues.

Who is Kate McCabe?
Kate was born in Scituate where she lived for her entire 24 years of life. A spirited child blessed with beauty, grace and a fantastically fun personality, Kate worked hard to achieve her personal goals. Whether it was sports, school, modeling, cooking or working, she did not give up. Her 'A-HA' moment came when she graduated from Emerson College in 2006. Oh, what a happy day that was for her.

Kate's adult life was just taking shape when her disease halted her work. Kate recognized and acknowledged her illness. She was actively participating in a rehabilitation program to learn how to handle her illness and its consequences when her life was cut short by the very disease she was working so hard to overcome. Sadly, the most important dream of her life was never achieved - a family.
