Ken Tarabelli

Ken Tarabelli, LICSW

Ken has been the President and CEO of Bay State Community Services, Inc. (BSCS) since the agency's conception in 1991. For 15 years, he was the Executive Director of Survival, Inc., one of the five agencies that merged to form BSCS. He also worked for the Division of Child Guardianship and the Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, Inc.

Ken serves on various state and local committees and boards including the Association for Behavioral Health Care, Children's League of Massachusetts and the Quincy Council on Aging.

Ken received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, Master's of Science degree from Columbia University and he is a Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.

Marta Reese

Marta Reese has been the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer of Bay State Community Services, Inc. (BSCS) since 2004. Prior to taking on the role of CFO, Marta was the Accounting Manager for nine years.

Marta began her professional career at Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) as a Certified Public Accountant. After working as an audit manager for five years in Seattle, Marta then joined Coopers' National office where she assisted in developing technical accounting and auditing policies.

Marta received her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business. She became a licensed CPA in 1977 and is currently inactive. Outside of BSCS, Marta serves as the treasurer of the First Parish Unitarian Church in Norwell, Mass.

Daurice Cox

Daurice Cox has been the Director of Clinical Services at Bay State Community Services, Inc. (BSCS) since 1995. In addition to overseeing BSCS' five outpatient mental health and substance abuse clinics & three residential programs, Daurice plays an important role in program development. Prior to joining the Bay State Community Services team, Daurice served as Program Director at Catholic Charities in Braintree, Mass., and Program Director at NORCAP in Weymouth, Mass.

Daurice received her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Fitchburg State College followed by a Master of Arts in Family Therapy from Anna Maria College. In 1994, Daurice graduated from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is a Certified Addiction Specialist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and licensed Psychologist. In addition to her responsibilities at BSCS, Daurice also teaches psychology to undergraduate students at Boston University.

Bill Spinks

Bill has been associated with Bay State Community Services (BSCS) since its inception in 1991. Previously for 15 years, he was the Executive Director of the South Shore Council on Alcoholism (SSCA), and he was instrumental in helping forge the merger of SSCA with the other four agencies that formed BSCS. Bill also previously worked for the Washingtonian Center for Addiction as the Director of Acute Treatment Services and for the Boston Alcohol Safety Action Project, the first federally funded program that led to the passage of the new DUI law in Massachusetts.

Bill oversees the BSCS innovative prevention programming for underage drinking and opioid abuse. He also administers BSCS intervention services including the certified Batterers Intervention and Generalized Violence Program and the largest Driver Alcohol Education and Second Offender Aftercare Program in Massachusetts.

Bill has served on various local boards and committees over the years and currently is involved with the Association of Behavioral Health Care Driver Alcohol Education Directors/ Second Offenders Aftercare Committee, and the Impact Quincy Coalition.

After attending Boston College Bill received a Master's Degree in Divinity from St. John's School of Theology in Massachusetts. He has been a Certified Employee Assistance Professional and is currently a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC 1) and a Certified Batterers Intervention Program Instructor.
