T.E.A.M. (Teaching, Education, Awareness and Motivation)
A short-term, six-week, six-hour early intervention program for youth ages 11 to 19, to explore their use of alcohol and other drugs and to learn alternatives to using these substances. Parents/guardians are encouraged to participate in parent groups. School administrators, guidance counselors, juvenile probation officers, and the District Attorney's Youth Diversion program have referred youth to this program. TEAM staff tailors the program to meet the needs of each participant and referral source. The Department of Public Health fully funds this program for youth and their parents/guardians.
